• 3 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
• 1 cup warm milk
• 3 tablespoons sugar
• 1 egg
• 3 tablespoons melted butter
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 1 egg yolk (for brushing)
• 1 tablespoon milk (for brushing)

These ingredients work together to create the soft and airy texture that makes these rolls so irresistible.


Step 1: Activate the Yeast

Start by pouring the warm milk into a mixing bowl. Add the sugar and yeast, then stir gently.

Let the mixture sit for about 5 to 10 minutes until it becomes foamy. This step is important because it activates the yeast, which helps the dough rise and creates the fluffy texture.

If the mixture does not foam, the yeast may not be active, and the rolls may not rise properly.


Step 2: Prepare the Dough

Add the egg, melted butter, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until everything is combined.

Gradually add the flour while mixing. Once the dough begins to come together, transfer it to a lightly floured surface.
