“A Recipe for Sparkling Stoves: How to Make Your Kitchen Shine Like New

Step 1: Remove Loose Debris

Before starting any cleaning, ensure the stove is cool. Remove all grates, burners, and knobs if possible. Shake off crumbs and wipe away loose food particles. This makes the next steps more effective, preventing leftover debris from scratching surfaces.

Step 2: Make Your Cleaning Paste

In a small bowl, mix baking soda with a few drops of dish soap and enough water to make a thick paste. Baking soda is mildly abrasive, perfect for lifting stubborn grime without scratching surfaces. The dish soap helps break down grease, making your stove easier to clean.

Step 3: Apply the Paste

Spread the paste generously over greasy spots, stains, and baked-on spills. Pay special attention to areas around burners and knobs where grease tends to accumulate. Allow the paste to sit for 15–20 minutes. This gives it time to soften stubborn stains and make scrubbing easier.

Step 4: Vinegar Spray Magic

Pour white vinegar into a spray bottle. Spray the vinegar over the baking soda paste. You’ll see a fizzy reaction—don’t worry, that’s the magic at work! The fizz helps lift dirt and grease from the surface. Wait 5–10 minutes for the reaction to do its job.

Step 5: Scrub Gently

Using a soft sponge or an old toothbrush, gently scrub the stove in circular motions. For stubborn spots, focus the brushing gently, avoiding excessive pressure to prevent scratches. Burners, knobs, and edges often require more attention.

Step 6: Wipe Clean

Once the grime has loosened, use a damp cloth or paper towel to wipe away the paste and residue. Rinse the cloth frequently to avoid spreading grease back onto the stove. You’ll start to see a noticeable difference immediately.

Step 7: Optional Shine Boost

For an extra sparkle, apply a small amount of lemon juice on a microfiber cloth and polish the stove surface. Lemon not only adds shine but also leaves a fresh, clean scent.

Step 8: Clean the Grates and Burners

While the stove surface is drying, soak the grates and burners in warm, soapy water for 15–30 minutes. Scrub with a brush to remove grease. For tough stains, sprinkle a little baking soda on them before scrubbing. Rinse and dry thoroughly before placing them back.

Step 9: Reassemble and Admire

After everything is cleaned and dry, carefully put the knobs, burners, and grates back in place. Step back and admire your sparkling stove. It’s amazing how a few simple household items can restore your kitchen centerpiece to almost-new condition.
