The Power of Simple Lessons
Looking back, I realize my mother wasn’t just teaching me about seats on a bus.
She was teaching me about awareness of others.
She was reminding me that we all share spaces, communities, and moments with people we may never meet again.
And in those moments, we always have a choice.
We can ignore others.
Or we can do something small that makes their day easier.
A Question Worth Asking
So now I find myself curious.
Do people still believe in this simple rule?
“If you can stand, offer your seat.”
Maybe the answer depends on each of us.
Because the truth is, kindness in everyday life doesn’t come from laws, signs, or rules.
It comes from the small decisions we make when nobody is watching.
And sometimes, standing up for someone else is one of the simplest ways to show that those old lessons still matter. ❤️
